During my time in New York working at G2, I had the opportunity to rebrand Ramada Worldwide – a large multinational hotel chain owned by Wyndham Worldwide, operating more than 800 hotels across 63 countries. So how do you brand a mid-priced hotel chain with a famous name and some pretty serious image issues? We uncovered a key insight: for most travelers, Ramada isn’t a destination, but a dependable stop along the journey. With that in mind we designed a new look and feel that embraces their guests’ journeys, no matter how quirky they may be, and came up with a new tagline: “You Do Your Thing, Leave The Rest To Us”.
